Wilmington, DE (May 26, 2021) – McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler LLC partners Matthew D’Emilio and Thomas Uebler, and associate Jeremy Riley were honored as 2021 Super Lawyers. D’Emilio was selected to the 2021 Delaware Super Lawyers list as a top attorney for Estate Planning & Probate. Prior to being selected as a Super Lawyer, D’Emilio was named a Delaware Rising Star by the organization for nine consecutive years. Uebler and Riley have been named Delaware Rising Stars for Estate & Trust Litigation and Estate Planning & Probate, respectively. This will mark Uebler’s eighth consecutive year as an honoree, and Riley’s first.

The Super Lawyer honor is awarded to those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice, with only 5% of attorneys in Delaware receiving this distinction. The Rising Star honor is reserved for extraordinary lawyers under age 40 or in practice for 10 years or less, and only 2.5% of attorneys are named to this list. The selection process for all honors includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

D’Emilio focuses his practice on estate planning and wealth transfer, estate and trust litigation, estate and trust administration, business transactions, and tax law. Uebler focuses his practice on fiduciary and corporate litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and other Delaware courts, as well as statutory and fiduciary duties under Delaware law. Riley focuses his practice in the areas of trust and estate planning and administration; business and tax planning and transactions; and trust and estate litigation and corporate and commercial litigation.

D’Emilio received his B.S. from Villanova University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law. Uebler received his B.S. from Arizona State University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law. Riley received his B.A. from the University of Delaware and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
