Wilmington, DE (April 1, 2021) – McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler LLC (MDSU), a Wilmington-based law firm specializing in trusts, estates, and tax; business transactions; and litigation, announced Kathleen A. Murphy has joined as Counsel.

Murphy will be a key member of the firm’s corporate and fiduciary litigation group and will add value to the firm’s ability to advise on all corporate, business, and trust litigation matters. She has participated in all aspects of litigation in the Delaware Supreme Court, Court of Chancery, and Superior Court. Murphy has been published in the American Bar Association’s Annual Review of Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation several times.

Previously, Murphy served as a Commercial Litigation Associate at Morris James LLP, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, and Reed Smith LLP.  Murphy began her career as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph R. Slights, III of the Superior Court of Delaware.  Murphy received her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2007, where she was the associate editor of The Richmond Journal of Law and Public Interest. She received her B.A. from The Catholic University of America in 2003.
