McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler Partner Participates in Delaware Trust Conference
Wilmington, DE – October 19, 2020 – McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler LLC Managing Member Matthew P. D’Emilio presented at the 15th annual Delaware Bankers Association Trust Conference. He participated in a discussion on best practices and regulatory requirements for onboarding, review and administration of trusts with special assets. D’Emilio presented with Mark Doyle, Principal, Fiduciary Counsel, Bessemer Trust Company of Delaware, N.A. and Phoebe Papageorgiou, American Bankers Association.
During the session, titled “Best Practices Administering Trusts with Special Assets,” D’Emilio, Doyle and Papageorgiou discussed the substantial investment flexibility that Delaware law offers. Specifically, directed trusts can be established, allowing corporate trustees to feel comfortable holding special assets.
