D’Emilio participated in a discussion on the Governor’s emergency order involving notarization and witnesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. He conducted this session alongside Stephen Spence of Baird Mandalas Brockstedt, LLC.

During the webinar, titled “Understanding the Governor’s Order Permitting Remote Notarization and Witnessing,” D’Emilio and Spence discussed the Governor’s new order, which authorizes video conferencing technology for the notarization and witnessing of documents. They shared best practices to follow to perform those tasks legally, as well as the development and intent of the Governor’s order.
